An autism specialist in Bishkek in your own language is easier to find than in many countries: Kyrgyzstan keeps a second official language that many families already speak, and the city has many centers. The harder part is finding a specialist who works specifically with ABA and knowing in advance which language the sessions and the program are in. Below is what open sources show and what you can check yourself.

Three cards: about 50 centers in Bishkek work with children with developmental delay; the state center has about 30 children per specialist (dots: one specialist and 30 children); the

Why the language of sessions is not a detail

In applied behavior analysis a parent is not a spectator: you are shown how to respond to a child's request, how to prompt and how to reinforce a skill at home. If instructions come in a language that is hard for you or the child, part of the work is lost. So ask "which language is the program in" before the first session, not after. The status of the language helps here: according to 24.kg and President Japarov's words, the second official language keeps its status and there are no plans to change it. But official status does not guarantee that the specialist you need works in your family's language.

What is available in person in Bishkek

The parents' association for children on the autism spectrum "Hand in Hand" has worked since 2012. Its site lists diagnostics (ADOS, ADI-R), sensory integration, individual ABA therapy and speech sessions. Phone +996 312 522 209. Waiting times and prices are not visible in the sections we could open, so ask by phone.

The State Center for Rehabilitation and Child Development in Bishkek, according to Kaktus.media for June 2026, covers more than 500 children with 17 specialists, about 30 children per specialist. This explains why families look for sessions outside the state system as well.

In addition, according to Kaktus.media in February 2026, about 50 correctional, educational and developmental centers in Bishkek work with children with developmental delay. At the same time the city held the international conference "ABA of the 21st century" with a headliner from Hong Kong. It is a sign of growing interest in the topic, but not a guarantee that a particular center's program is led by a certified behavior analyst. We covered state centers and the Ministry of Health's plans in our piece on ABA therapy in Kyrgyzstan.

How the remote format removes the tie to a city

A VB-MAPP skills assessment is done remotely, and the specialist's language is chosen independently of where you live: how it works is described in our piece on VB-MAPP testing. We went through the research on whether the online format works at all in does online ABA work. In-person sessions are not cancelled: a remote program can be the base and an in-person center the addition.
